Andrea H. Kastanis

Andrea practices criminal, civil, and administrative law. She assists senior counsel and advises and represents clients on a variety of matters including: special prosecutions, defence of Criminal Code charges, police discipline under the Police Act, professional regulation under the Legal Profession Act, and civil litigation with a focus on claims involving police agencies. Andrea has appeared before all levels of Court in British Columbia as well as various administrative tribunals.

Andrea clerked for six justices of the British Columbia Supreme Court in 2012-2013, and then practiced civil litigation at a prominent regional firm prior to joining Wilson Butcher in 2016.

Andrea worked in the field of alternative dispute resolution before commencing her legal career and is trained as a youth restorative justice facilitator. She obtained her J.D. from the University of New Brunswick in 2012 and was the recipient of the 2012 UNB Law Faculty Prize, amongst numerous other academic awards and prizes.
